#2020ForeSight

The dawn of a new decade. A frightfully devastating year has closed. Devastation in all areas of my life, politically, personally, emotionally and financially, comprehensively devastating. It is a new year and I will not be rehashing the traumas many of which we have all lived through together, some of which I have described in other posts here on Medium, some of which only I remember as I woke up crying in the middle of the night.

But now I am presenting a metaphor to work with as we move into a new set of possibilities. We can, I can use the powers accumulated over many years to see clearly what is coming and to act decisively to foster the best of what could come about? This is my intention, my New Year’s Resolution to have 2020 foresight. Often people around me, sometimes I myself invoke the time worn phrase, “that is easy to see with 2020 hindsight”. At times I would think to myself, “no I saw that quite clearly before it happened” and so now it occurs to me we can all make this go viral. #2020ForeSight — could this help us all keep in mind that we do know enough. We do understand enough. We do care enough. We can apply all of that to making the best decisions of our lives as we go through this next year, this next decade, this next remainder of our lives.

Applying this to my personal life I have real life changing opportunities coming up. Monday I start work in my field of expertise…
