I study Buddhism and I find the three vehicles or Yanas to be hepful in understand the duality/unity question. In the Hinayana we are concerned with ourselves. I must do my meditation practice. The focus is on self, the meditator. In the Mahayana the focus changes to us, we, none can attain enlightenment until we all do. Compassion for all. The self is dissolving into the collective of all. In the Vajrayana we come full circle realizing that each moment is perfect presenting us with exactly what we need to experience to progress long the path so that I learn that we are all in this completely interconnected world together. As one of my favorite teachers Ram Dass was fond of saying 'we are all just walking each other home'. I loved this offering of yours Erika and the photos, as always, were magnificent.

Thank you, Larry. This was a beautiful response. I do love the idea of "all of us walking each other home." I would have loved to meet Ram Dass. He was a force behind a festival that I used to teach at each year, Bhakti (and Shakti (in the spring))…
