Times passing

I feel time winding down

the momentum is not gone but nearly forgotten.

Possibly time still has some direction but often as not time hits a reflection, some might call it a memory, and bounces back…

there I am in the moment but that moment was long ago

Occasionally still, I find my mind has passed into a future moment with such clarity that I can draw the place, note the activities, call out to the people there with me in that time yet to come that I wish for…

I feel that many of my friends have this same sense of time grinding along…

Sometimes too fast, other times too slow…

Many of them say the prayers of their mothers and fathers

Other friends practice with devotion the instructions from teachers of today…

Each day my routine becomes more set in stone

I look for beauty always and always see it…

The Cardinal drinking water from the bird bath…

The Robin waiting his turn…

Me at the sink cleaning up from a meal or preparing one I then walk in circles, trying to get enough steps to allow myself to lay down and rest…
