With Gratitude

From the quiet yet vibrant all encompassing dark

My awareness opens to a clear luminous all encompassing blue

Slowly sensing the lift and fall of this weight that now surrounded

By an ocean wave floats up closer to the blue, then sinks lower away from that blue

Over and over. Rising and falling. Lifting and Sinking. Over and over.

Gradually I, hmmm, yes I feel a breeze pushing me, hmmm, yes me along

Gradually and continuously the breeze directing me and the waves flowing

Rising and falling, gliding along, moving towards

The shore

A last wave strong enough to lift me lets me down on the wet shore.

Waves still lap at my feet, the breeze not still flows across cooling me

My awareness now has eyes, still engrossed in that blue, and has ears, hearing the crash of waves and the swoosh of the back flow, and has an edge, a skin, feeling the wet and cool of the water and separate cool of the air

Ahh the air, I feel it filling my lungs then draining out of my mouth with a cry and a laugh.

Still laughing and crying with tears of one taste flowing down my cheeks and back to the ocean I feel the air and see the water, the land, and in the air the fiery ball of heat rising up out of the water. All of this contained within the black emptiness of space.
